Highly sought-after during the monsoon (July–September). Pan-fried in mustard oil or steamed in a mustard-poppy seed paste (Bhapa Ilish).
The kitchen does not offer an instant à la carte menu. Lunch orders by 09:30 AM, dinner orders by 05:00 PM.

Step-by-Step Directions
- 1Exit Kolkata via the Vidyasagar Setu onto the Kona Expressway → NH 16.
- 2Drive 55 km to Kolaghat bridge — a popular breakfast stop.
- 3Take the exit ramp onto NH 116B at Nandakumar Junction toward Digha.
- 4Follow NH 116B past Contai and Ramnagar.
- 5At Balisai crossroads, turn left at the Tajpur Beach billboard.
- 6Drive 4.5 km down the tree-lined Balisai–Tajpur Sea Beach Road. Entrance on your left.
Important: Carry Physical Cash
There are no working ATMs in the immediate Tajpur beach area. The closest reliable ATMs are in Ramnagar or Chaulkhola (~11 km away). Jio and Airtel now offer reliable 5G at the resort, and the resort has Wi-Fi, so UPI and digital payments work without issue — but we still recommend carrying ₹5,000–₹8,000 in cash as backup before leaving the highway.

A beautiful retreat from mundane city life. Managed by few locals, you are treated like family members. Fresh foods are made to order, the cottages are super cozy, created using ethnic building materials. The beach is only a few steps away.

Absolutely eco friendly. Everything was good including tasty food, spacious room, running water supply and staff behaviour. Much more lonely and decorated — specially the thatched roof and beautiful garden — rather than other resorts nearby.

The resort is surely a retreat and true to its name. Situated close to beach, just 5 mins walking through the dense pine trees. The rooms are well maintained and there's a restaurant onsite. Staff are very cooperative.
